Monday 17th October 2022 marked a new beginning at Freyberg High School with the powhiri for our new Principal, Mr. Graeme Williams.
Rangitane iwi members, Wiremu Te Awe Awe, Nuwyne Te Awe Awe and Debbie Marshall-Lobb were present to welcome him to the full school powhiri held in the school gymnasium.Graeme, his wife Emma and children Libby and Greg were handed to the school by a contingent from Whangaparaoa College where he has been a Deputy Principal for 10 years.
After the powhiri, Graeme responded with his mihi and spoke to the whole school sharing his vision for Freyberg High School going forward.
Nau mai, haere mai ki tō tātou nei kura, Graeme!
